New built vessel at Kleven shipyard Norway Cuxhaven NC100 from Deutsche Fischfang Union is now finishing it´s first sea trial in the Barents sea. On board this new magnificent vessel is a fish processing line from Vélfag ehf. Processing line of 2xM505 computer controlled heading machines 1x M700 mechanical filleting machine and 1x M800 mechanical skinning machine.
The machinery form Velfag is running as we expected, making money for it´s owners from day one says Bjarmi Sigurgardarsson director of Velfag. Last month 2 of the vessel´s crew: Sigurdur Örn Alfredsson and Kjartan Jónsson took a training course at Vélfag´s training centre in Olafsfjord Iceland. These guis are very well skilled Marin technicians since they have for many years been using Velfag´s machinery, this was Kjartans second training course as Marin technician as he has been previously working for HbGrandi´s vessel Höfrungur III. for many years. Sigurdur has been on board Sigurbjörg ÓF for many years and both were manly learning on new M505 computer controlled machines which are giving even better yield than the older and robust M500. Árni our service manager has been on board the sea trial to follow up the startup in Kleven. Congratulations to Rammi hf. and their staff members on their brand new freezer trawler, Sólberg ÓF-1. The new trawler was docked in Siglufjörður on the 19th of May after a long journey from Tersan shipyard in Turkey where it was built. Sólberg ÓF-1 is equipped with Vélfag's M505 heading machines, M700 & M725 filleting machines and M800 & M825skinning machines.
We wish Rammi hf. and Sólberg's fishermen congratulations on this magnificent new ship.
